Orion Homes joins property selling initiative

Orion Homes have made a number of part exchange properties available on price-fix.com, a new website which offers an effective alternative to the traditional means of buying and selling homes whilst retaining the benefits of using an Estate Agent.

Designed to provide purchasers with an open and transparent bidding process, the site works very simply: a property is listed on the site for 21 days, during which time anyone can place bids, but it can only be placed onto the site through one of price-fix.com's appointed estate agents, thus maintaining the crucial link between agent and vendor.Throughout the process the agent continues to market and conduct viewings as normal. At the end of the period, the highest bid is then put to the vendor to accept or reject. If the bid is accepted, a small commitment deposit is lodged with an independent solicitor, and the aim is to exchange contracts in 14 days through the normal conveyancing process. Importantly, the whole process is totally transparent - a point which will not be wasted on critics of the current system of placing offers on property.
