Autumn has arrived, and it’s a season that inspires not only a change in the weather but a transformation of our living spaces.
In our quest to capture the very essence of this enchanting season, we embarked on a journey to design and style one of our showhomes with a touch of autumn magic. Our inspiration? Earthy tones, cosy textures, richly scented candles and the beauty of nature in all its autumnal glory. We worked with Blocc Interiors to help us bring our autumnal vision for the new Purston Grange showhome to life.
As the days grew shorter and the air started to take on that distinctive crispness, it became evident to us that we would need a colour palette that could reflect the beauty of the season. Blocc guided us toward a spectrum of warm, earthy hues: rusty oranges, clay browns, and golden yellows. These colours, carefully applied, cocooned our show home with the cosy ambiance of autumn.
The essence of our cosy home rested in the masterful technique of layering various textures. Blocc introduced us to a symphony of sensations with plush cushions, woven throws, soft blankets, boucle fabrics, and a diverse mix of textures, all meticulously curated to infuse depth and dimension into our space. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these textures beckoned everyone to immerse themselves in the unparalleled comfort of the season.
The allure of dark autumn evenings is undeniable, and the gentle, flickering glow of candles plays a pivotal role in creating that twinkling atmosphere. The stylists at Blocc thoughtfully placed scented candles throughout our show home, igniting a sense of serenity and charm that only the soft glow of candlelight can provide.
To complete our transformation, we decided to infuse the great outdoors into our interiors. We incorporated natural elements such as conkers, bare twigs, seasonal foliage, and, of course, the delightful pumpkins generously donated by the local farm shop, Farmer Copleys. Our show home simply wouldn’t have been complete without the addition of seasonal foliage. The inclusion of branches adorned with colourful leaves and bundles of dried pampas grass not only enhanced the autumn aesthetics but also brought the refreshing essence of the outdoors in.
