Team Orion takes on tyres, trenches and hay hills in T3 Farm Challenge!

Orion Homes sent an all-action squad of adrenaline junkies to take on the T3 Farm Challenge in Mirfield, completing a lung-busting 5km obstacle course to raise money for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

The annual event invites competitors to navigate a gruelling route in the rural surroundings of Crossfield Farm, testing their endurance and agility as they climb hay bale hills, trudge through trenches, traverse tyres, scamper along pallet bridges and hurl themselves down water slides! As one of the official sponsors of the 2022 edition, Orion Homes were keen to enter a team and we found plenty of willing colleagues up for the challenge.

Volunteers from our head office and developments in Yorkshire included Dave Wallace, Matthew Towning, Kyle Lewis, Lucas Chojnacki, Liam Pullins, Andrew Ashley, Neil Pickering and Matthew Creech. Team Orion got the knees pumping and finished the course in impressively quick time. More importantly, they raised £750 for Forget Me Not, which supports hundreds of children with life-shortening conditions, and their families, through a Hospice at Home service and a purpose-built facility in Huddersfield.

Orion Homes Maintenance Manager, Dave Wallace, led the way as Team Captain and was delighted with everyone’s efforts. Dave said: “I’m very proud of all the guys. It was a tough course, but they kept going and finished strongly. We’re nursing a few aching limbs, but we’re very pleased to have raised a good amount of money for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.”

Orion Homes are currently building a range of spacious new homes just a few miles from Crossfield Farm, at Kendall Court in Ossett. This exciting new development features a selection of three bedroom semi-detached and three and four bedroom detached homes designed to the advanced specification which homebuyers have come to expect from Orion Homes. The opening releases are now for sale at prices starting from £269,995. For further information, please call 07939 555806 or email
