Carlton have been working with Orion Homes for over 25 years. Supplying sites in Yorkshire from our factory at Grimethorpe, we have built up a unique relationship.

Now under our new owners Michelmersh, our team have been looking after orders and deliveries to the sites for many years and have built up longstanding relationships with the site managers. The Sales Office deal with a huge number of customers, but Orion Homes always stand out as being a pleasure to work with.

Brick sales are very cyclical, and we are very grateful for Orion’s support over the years. We like to think that we have looked after them well, even when our order books are bursting at the seams, squeezing in a half days extra production when required.

Carlton often recommend Orion Homes developments, when others wish to see our quality products in the real world. We were very happy to welcome the Orion Homes team for a factory tour a couple of years ago and our Factory Manager ended up buying an Orion home on the back of it all.

It is always a pleasure working for Orion Homes as we find your staff very friendly, helpful and responsive and the company has a good feel about it – which isn’t always the case believe me!

Hanna Civil Engineering started life in 1993 as a Sole Trader with myself as Site Manager / Site Engineer / Office Manager / Plant Manager and cleaner all rolled in to one! We work from a small office in Wakefield and I am still at the helm after 30+ years.

We now own a 1½ acre site adjacent to the Europort at Castleford with offices and workshops and have a Contracts Manager, 4 Site managers, 7 office and yard staff and 25 operatives, some of who have been here over 25 years.

Over the years we have worked for most of the major house builders carrying out roads and sewers / plot works plus several large civils companies working on hospitals, schools and warehouses.

For over seven years, Ideal Standard, now part of the Villeroy & Boch Group has proudly supplied sanitaryware to Orion Homes, a distinguished family-run organisation renowned for its unwavering commitment to quality in every home they create.

This shared dedication to excellence allows us to consistently deliver top-tier specifications across all developments, ensuring that each home reflects the highest standards.

I wanted to share some details about our journey working with Orion Homes and reflect on the partnership we’ve built over the years.

At the start of my career, I was a tiler working across numerous house builders’ sites, I now am the owner and Managing Director and so have experienced many aspects of the trade over my 38-year career.

Palmer Barnes Ltd has had the pleasure of working with Orion Homes for over 12 years, during which time we’ve completed a diverse range of developments and at their Head Office site at Benton Park.

Previous to this, you might recall that Ceasar’s Ceramics worked on various sites for Orion Homes for over 25 years. This cherished legacy has undoubtedly laid a solid foundation for our continued collaboration. We’re grateful for the trust and relationship that has flourished over the years, and we take immense pride in being one of Orion’s partners, a fellow Yorkshire business.

Working with Orion Homes we supply and fix quality and varied tile ranges directly from Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Our dedicated team of 20 tile fixers is proud to ensure that every project meets the highest standards.  We are proud to hold CHAS Elite status as commitment to our H&S commitment.

We first started working for Orion Homes in 2006, and our well-established company with over 48 years’ experience in the roofing industry, can assure you of a first-class service together with an excellent standard of workmanship.

We are fully registered with CHAS Advanced/Premium Plus, Construction Line Gold, Safe Contractor, SSIP and Competent Roofer Scheme and all of our employees are CSCS accredited and we take on apprentices every year, plus we are also a member of the NFRC.

Being one of the largest Roofing Contractors in West Yorkshire, we are currently operating with 14 gangs, travelling from East to West coast, as far North as Teesside and South down to North Nottinghamshire.  We have the capacity to deliver on any of your requirements, with all of our works being carried out under the direct supervision of the Directors.

We started working for Orion Homes back in 1997, on a site very close to your Head Office.

G Thornton Plasterers have been trading since 1982 when Geoff & Christine Thornton (Richards parents) started the business. My late father Graham Ward joined the business in 1983/84 and Richard started as a plasterer in 1985 and I started in 1989 as a QS. Nowadays the business is run by Richard and myself, Richard being the main site presence, and myself running the commercial side of the business. We have on average about 20 operatives work for us, some have been with us since the 1980’s. We specialise in new build housing mainly.
